BASED AT Harrowby Infant School

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a financial background to join our Trust.  We are seeking to appoint a hardworking and focussed Finance Officer to work across our Trust to undertake all financial aspects, who has a strong finance background, preferably in the education sector, and will work closely with our School Business Manager.  You will need to be an effective communicator, be able to work on your own initiative, be able to work across multiple areas of the Trust, and have that all important sense of humour for all those days which just don’t go to plan.

The main purpose of the post is to provide financial and administrative support to the School Business Manager in the effective operation of the school’s finance and business management which include, but are not restricted to, the following main tasks:

  • Manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash book, procurement and fixed assets for the Trust;
  • Process monthly management accounts checks and reports, and assist in preparing for annual financial statements and audit;
  • Manage expenditure and income due to the Trust;
  • Answer any queries and be the key point of contact for the Finance Office;
  • Assist with HR, Payroll and Estate tasks.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Applicant will have a strong financial background and exposure to working in a busy environment. Experience within the education sector is desirable but not essential.  They will support and model the vision and ethos of the Trust and our church schools both of which have been judged ‘Outstanding’ by the Lincoln Diocese.  We offer training and support to all staff and will endeavour to develop your skills as a valued member of our team, and can offer you
