Two exciting opportunities have arisen at Grimoldby Primary School!

We are seeking to appoint two 1:1 Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and welcoming staff team. These positions are to support a pupil in our Foundation Stage and a pupil in our Year 1 class. Both pupils have an Education Health Care Plan.

The successful candidates will be responsible for working alongside the class teacher to adapt work and support the pupils.

They must be able to show calmness and composure when working with children with additional needs and have the ability to maintain a caring and supportive classroom environment.

We are looking for warm, caring individuals who are sensitive to the child’s needs and able to foster independence.

They must be able to work well within a team and liaise effectively with parents and other professional agencies. 

The job will be primarily to support the child’s emotional well-being and academic needs but also includes intimate care associated with toileting.

An understanding of a trauma informed approach is ideal although not essential as training will be provided.
