At Haxey C of E Primary Academy, we are looking to appoint an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work with a child in KS1 with an EHCP with both academic needs as well implementing care plans from external agencies such as speech and language and physiotherapy.

Teaching Assistant SEND - Haxey C of E Primary Academy 

30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:45am – 3:15pm with 30-minute lunchbreak, 39 weeks per year (Term Time + 5 inset days)
Fixed Term contract for duration child remains in school
Salary £17,316-£18,447 gross per annum (Based on North Lincolnshire Salary Scale G4.5 - G4.9)

Have a calm, nurturing personality with an unwavering drive to ensure that pupils make progress in all elements of their education.

The successful applicant will have: 

  • A good working knowledge of EHCP’s and contributing to them
  • Have a good understanding of supporting pupils with profound needs, experience of trauma-informed practice and/or attachment is desirable.
  • Able to use your own initiative to support pupils according to their individual needs.
  • Will need to support with lunchtimes, routines, working 1:1 and in small groups 
  • Experience of teaching phonics - RWI is desirable. 


Applicants should have achieved Grade C or above in GCSE Maths & English or equivalent.
