We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and conscientious Teaching Assistant to join our happy, friendly and dedicated team. This post is temporary, starting in September 2021, for the academic year. It will involve working with pupils in Year One, supporting the teachers with the teaching and learning. The post will also involve supporting pupils with their educational, emotional and social development either individually, in groups or as a whole class. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to be patient, positive and creative. They will need to be able to use their initiative, work as part of a team and have a good sense of humour.

Candidates should have a relevant NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification and a minimum of two years’ experience of working with children in Key Stage One.

 In addition, we require the same member of staff to carry out the role of Midday Supervisory Assistant. The role involves working as part of a team to carry out duties including:

  • encouraging the children to eat and enjoy their lunch
  • helping to serve hot school meals
  • leading lunchtime activities for the children
  • helping the children to play safely
  • classroom supervision during wet playtimes
  • administering first aid


Hours: Teaching Assistant – 15 Hours and Midday Supervisor – 5 Hours

(Teaching Assistant post also includes training days)

 Closing date for applications is midnight on Monday 21st June 2021. Interviews will be held during the week beginning Monday 28th June 2021 and may be face to face or carried out remotely.
