The post will be permanent and is for 30 hours per week to be worked 8.45am – 12.15pm and 1pm – 3.30pm each day. We anticipate that this post will initially be in Year 5 and Year 6, and recent KS2 experience is essential.

Key responsibilities:
• Provide support to teachers in delivering effective lessons.
• Work with pupils to provide support with their academic tasks and activities.
• Support the overall well-being of pupils, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Provide one to one or small group support to pupils who may require additional help.

Requirements:
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant
• A passion for education and a commitment to the development of children so that they can all reach their full potential.
• Good understanding of the strategies that work with children who have learning difficulties.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and, at times, under pressure.
• An excellent standard of English (including spoken English) and Maths is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to work alongside our experienced team and to work across a year group and a Key Stage group.
• Patience, resilience and a positive attitude
