1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant

Salary Grade 3 (6-9)   £18,812-£19948 Per Annum

39 Weeks per year (term-time plus training days).

Required to start ASAP, 15 hours per week (3 hours daily) during term time only.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work as part of our SEND team.

The position is part time (15 hrs) , with a Yr2 child with SEMH needs.

This is a temporary contract, depending on the needs of the children changing or the children leaving the school and will commence as soon as possible.

We require someone with experience

  • of working with children with significant SEMH needs
  • who is able to work under the guidance of the class teacher and the SENDCo and
  • deliver individual programmes of support.
  • Ideally you would have a good understanding of attachment needs and some level of trauma training.
  • You should be creative and caring with a commitment to quality educational provision.
  • A good standard of spoken and written English and Maths is essential, along with lots of enthusiasm.

There will be plenty of opportunities for professional development and the chance to build a wide range of skills in classroom pedagogy, supporting individual children's learning and their all-round development.
