We are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to support our pupils in Year 5 and 6. The role of Teaching Assistant at Donington on Bain is busy and varied – it may be based in a class supporting the teacher, providing group interventions and/or supporting individual pupils with specific needs. The candidate will be qualified to minimum NVQ Level 2 in a relevant area and be educated to good standard in English and Maths (at least grade C or equivalent in English and Maths).
We are looking for an excellent practitioner who:
- Understands how to support a child with additional needs in a caring and sensitive way
- Will work independently and pro-actively to support a child and the wider class within a busy school
- Has the drive and determination to help children to achieve their potential
- Has good organisational, personal and interpersonal skills
