1:1 Teaching Assistant for Y6

G3 pts 6-9 £18,065-£19,171 pro rata

Required as soon as possible for 30 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Academy and become part of an established team who ensure children are provided with the correct conditions for wonderful learning.  We wish to appoint an outstanding practitioner who believes that providing individual and bespoke provision improves effective outcomes.   We are looking for someone who has knowledge of effective ways of supporting SEN children on the autistic spectrum. The successful candidate will also have the ability to use their own drive and initiative to ensure success whilst working in collaboration with a highly motivated team.  In return, we offer comprehensive professional development opportunities and the chance to join a successful Junior school with amazing children.

We are seeking a professional colleague who:

  • has experience of supporting children 1:1
  • knowledge and experience of KS1 and KS2 curriculum
  • is empathetic, considerate and forward thinking;
  • has the ability to form strong, positive relationships with children, staff and parents;
  • demonstrates inspiration and passion to ensure every child succeeds in a safe environment;

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • high expectations, in terms of behaviour and standards - of themselves and the children in their care;
  • experience of supporting children with slow processing and learning needs;
  • show deep ambition and dedication to achieve
