Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Scale G3.06-3.09. £18,065-19,171 (pro rata)

Part-time 12 hrs/ week. (each afternoon as part of a job share)

We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil with complex social and emotional needs and a specific Education, Health and Care Plan. This post is pivotal to its consistent and effective implementation.

You will be responsible for supporting learning on a day-to-day basis, implementing specific interventions, promoting social integration and supporting emotional well-being. Working as part of a team of responsible adults and reporting to parents and the child’s class teacher, under the supervision of the school’s special needs coordinator.

We seek a skilled individual with the ability to build and sustain effective relationships with the pupil and their family.

The successful candidate will work with and have very high expectations of all pupils. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join our dedicated team of professionals, with

KS1 experience being preferred.
