1: 1 TEACHING ASSISTANT LEVEL 1– based at Digby Church of England School-Hours to be confirmed.

Pay Grade G3 (£15,807- £17,419 pro rata and equated. £9.32 - £10.17 per hour)

Term time only – 39 weeks per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Federation at Digby CE Primary school. The Federation benefits from an experienced and supportive team of teachers.

We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and committed team member to join our happy and dedicated school family to provide support for a child in school.

The post is for a 1:1 teaching assistant at Digby C of E Primary, to work with a year 1 pupil who has an EHCP. The pupil requires support to ensure that there are as many opportunities to enable them to integrate and socialise with their peers and to be able to access the curriculum. Knowledge and experience of working within the EYFS/KS1 and /or with SEND would be beneficial. Hours for this post will also be confirmed on application.

A relevant NVQ 2 is desirable, as is any recent primary school-based experience of supporting children within this age group.

As well as supporting academic learning, the role will involve nurturing the social and behavioural development of the children.

Calmness, a good sense of humour and the ability to build relationships are essential qualities.
