Teaching Assistant 1:1 (£14,786)

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and flexible teaching assistant to support a Year 6 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder and various medical conditions

This post is for 32 ½ hours per week (term time plus non-contact days), this post is temporary for one year commencing 1 September 2021.

The role will involve working with the child to meet their individual targets and delivering a range of approaches and interventions to support the specific needs of the child.

We are looking for a TA who:

  • Has experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • Has knowledge and experience of supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Has experience in de-escalation strategies and behaviour management
  • Has excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills
  • Understands how children learn in order to support progress
  • Works effectively as part of a team, including outside agencies
