This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Manor Farm Academy as part of our growth to a one form entry school. 

The academy currently has 150 pupils on roll from Reception to Year 4 and has an annual intake of 30 pupils each year until we reach capacity at 210 pupils.

This post offers an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen on shaping the ethos of a school as it grows in the heart of the community. We are therefore looking for a committed, able professional to contribute to the establishment and direction of the academy within the next phase of its development.

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner who has an interest in working with children with Special Educational needs. The candidate must be able to work alongside the SENDCO and class teacher to achieve the very best outcomes for this pupil. This role is based upon the child’s needs whilst at our school and therefore can be subject to change. 

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in KS2 who has a range of complex needs including learning, social and emotional difficulties and speech and language difficulties.

We will therefore require practitioners who are able to:

  • Support the pupil to overcome challenges and barriers to learning
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher , sendco and the child’s parents
  • Attend review meetings and meet targets set within the educational health care plan
  • Support the pupil both inside and outside the classroom to facilitate positive social interaction with peers. 
  • Have good communication skills and the ability to listen to the views of the child
  • Work with multiple agencies where appropriate to fully support the child’s needs.
  • Have very high expectations of all pupils and be a good team contributor.
