Based at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Voluntary Academy, Sleaford

We are keen to recruit an aspirational and creative Key Stage 1 teacher excited by the opportunity to join us in our continuing quest to improve outcomes for the pupils we serve. Applicants should have high expectations for themselves, driven to inspire and guide pupils to achieve their potential through memorable learning experiences.

Ideally an experienced Key Stage 1 practitioner, successful in achieving excellent outcomes in Year 1/2 national assessment so you are well placed to ensure children progress well.

The position also attracts a SEND TLR for those holding the National Senco Qualification.

The ideal candidate will:

  • be supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
  • be an excellent classroom practitioner able to develop our outstanding provision which inspires children to achieve their full potential
  • be a team player keen to share good practice with others
  • be very familiar with the expectations of the KS1 Curriculum with extensive subject knowledge
  • adapt their teaching provision to ensure progress for all learners so enables accelerated progress for those learners who need it
  • love developing learners, identifying their talents and harnessing their curiosity to learning
  • have a passion for English, so the value of reading and development of language are intertwined across the curriculum
  • Be keen to play an active subject leadership role as part of our staff team
