We wish to appoint well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Science for April 2020. The post is a maternity cover contract from April 20th 2020. The post is full time and will involve the teaching of Chemistry and/or Physics across Key Stages. Applications from those seeking part time work will also be considered.
The ability to teach A-Level will be advantageous, however the candidate will teach across the ability and age range of our comprehensive school. As a school, we are passionate about enthusing students and engaging learners to have a thirst for learning through inspirational teaching. We have large numbers of students who take Science A Levels and vocational courses in the Sixth Form. The right candidate will be passionate about Science, have high expectations of students and wish to motivate students of all abilities. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers new to the profession or those who have some experience teaching Science and seek an opportunity to develop in a new and thriving setting.
This will be a rewarding role across the age and ability range. Teaching may include A Level teaching for the right candidate. The Science department is a thriving and enthusiastic team which is collaborative and supportive. We set ourselves high standards in teaching and learning and we believe feedback for students on their progress is vital.
All members of the teaching team take on the additional role of Form Tutor. The school offers an excellent induction programme for new staff and we actively support teachers to make their next career steps into middle leadership.
