Woodlands Academy is an outstanding secondary special school for pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs. The school is part of CIT (Community Inclusive Trust), a Multi Academy Trust comprising of 15 special and mainstream primary schools across Lincolnshire.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher or Instructor of Maths. Experience of teaching SEMH pupils is not essential; however, the successful candidate will have experience of teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4 pupils, with specific experience of GCSE Maths and Level 1/Level 2 Functional Skills Maths accreditations. For the right candidate, this is a great opportunity to develop or further their own leadership skills and experience of working with pupils who have additional needs, within a supportive Senior Leadership Team. The potential additional whole school responsibility attached to the post would be linked to leading the Maths curriculum area.
The successful candidate will:
- Be an Outstanding Maths Classroom practitioner.
- Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum.
- Have a flexible approach and be able to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Have excellent relationships with pupils.
