Teacher of English (maternity cover)
Kesteven and Sleaford High School, we are looking for a Teacher of English; this appointment arises due to the maternity leave of a permanent colleague. The post is from February 2025 for a full year and the colleague you are covering for has been clear that they wish to take a year’s maternity leave. The role is suitable for an experienced teacher or an NQT who could complete their NQT year with us and is available until the return of the permanent post holder.
Kesteven and Sleaford High School is a highly successful 11-18 Selective Girls’ Academy and a member of the Robert Carre Trust. The school works closely with Carre’s Grammar School and is part of the mixed Sleaford Joint Sixth Form (SJSF). English and English Literature are extremely successful at GCSE with 93% of students achieving Grade 5+ and 98% Grade 4 in English and similar achievement for Literature. Both Literature and Language are also popular and successful subjects at A Level and are taught across the SJSF.
