An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Lincolnshire County Council's Property Strategy Team within Corporate Property as the Strategic Development Officer

If you are a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills,  the ability to interpret complex data and an interest in working in Property Strategy, alongside Children’s Services, then please apply. 

The role

As the Strategic Development Officer you will be part of a small team supporting Children’s Services and Corporate Property, This is a key role providing professional guidance to service leads, senior managers and the Assistant Director of Corporate Property

You will lead the strategic development and delivery of the County Council's policy in respect of major development proposals and maximise developer contributions (including Section 106) to Council’s school infrastructure improvements. In addition you will provide strategic planning and development advice and identify opportunities to optimise the Council's property portfolio.

About you

In order to be successful in this position you will be experienced in property development, town and country planning, or a related discipline. You'll have a good working knowledge of local government and be able to understand and interpret complex policies and operating models of planning law.

In addition you'll possess first class communication skills, be experienced in working with complex data and able to plan at a strategic level. You'll use your interpersonal skills to work effectively to develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

Remote Working

At the current time during the Coronavirus restrictions,  all our employees are working from home if they are able to do so to support the health and safety of all of our colleagues.  We are embracing new ways of working and we are anticipating that remote working will continue to be a key feature of this role. You will be  given a nominated contractual work base and once current restrictions are lifted you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.  

Our technology platform and equipment is very good enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We require that you have in place good connectivity and we will discuss during the recruitment process if support with this is needed.
