Social Workers - Adult Care East Team

If so, then the Adult’s East Area Teams are looking for you.
We have permanent, full-time posts, for newly qualified workers, who we will support through ASYE, experienced Social Workers (Level1) and Senior/Supervising Social Worker (Level 2).
Currently we have vacancies in the famous seaside town of Skegness, the historic multi-cultural market town of Boston, and the Louth and Market Rasen teams which are co-located in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds.

The post of Social Worker in Lincolnshire County Council’s Adult Care Services is a busy and varied position. The successful applicant will be working with adults aged 18+, which gives an opportunity to really see the positive impact our Adult Care Team makes to the lives of others.

You will have a varied and interesting role, which requires partnership working with other agencies across Health, Housing, and the Voluntary Sector. We are looking for confident individuals to carry out strengths-based Adult Needs Assessments and Reviews in line with the Care Act 2014, focusing on what the person can do rather than their limitations. You will need to be competent in assessing mental capacity, recognising, and acting on safeguarding concerns and working with colleagues across the Health and Social Care sector.

About You
The Social Work role is demanding, and it is important that we recruit the right people; therefore, you must be motivated, enthusiastic, resilient, and possess the following skills and qualities:
- Social Work Registration.
- Dynamic flexible individual who can work autonomously and demonstrate good time management.
- Positivity, a can-do attitude, and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good IT skills as assessments are recorded electronically.
- Good listener, demonstrate that you are actively listening.
- Creative-thinking and good problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of the Care Act 2014, The Mental Capacity Act 2005 and associated Social Care Legislation.
