Skills Delivery Manager (LEP)
Lincolnshire County Council is advertising a very exciting opportunity for a Skills Delivery Manager (LEP) to work within the Greater Lincolnshire LEP team and support the LEP Skills Policy Manager to deliver Employment and Skills outcomes across Greater Lincolnshire. The Greater Lincolnshire LEP is one of 38 across England.
The LEP team manages several private sector led Boards, including the Greater Lincolnshire LEP Ltd Board of Directors, to develop economic growth strategies for the Greater Lincolnshire area. The team works closely with Government departments and many local partners.
The ideal candidate will have/be;
- A proven track record of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Effective knowledge of current government policy impacting on employment and skills.
- Proven experience of managing a team.
- The ability to influence and build credibility with stakeholders in Government and across the region.
- A team player with good analytical skills, attention to detail and be prepared to develop their knowledge.
- The ability to juggle competing workloads and diverse topics within the Economic Development agenda.
The post-holder will develop and manage a portfolio of projects that contribute to the outcomes of the Greater Lincolnshire Employment and Skills strategy and plan and the emerging Local Industrial Strategy, as directed by the LEP Skills Policy Manager. Travel around Lincolnshire will be expected as part of the job.
