Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a number of qualified health visitors to cover posts across Lincolnshire.  We are looking for practitioners who will deliver all elements of the Healthy Child Programme, delivering innovation and contributing to service improvement.

You must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and possess or be working towards a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse qualification.

You will be managing vulnerable caseloads and attending safeguarding and other professional meetings, therefore will need to have exemplary communication skills and the ability to work within a multi-agency arena.  We encourage a restorative approach with families and staff and therefore are keen to employ people who have the attributes to support and motivate others.

We are a progressive service and are keen to support our Health Visitors to be included in or lead innovation and service improvement. We have active champion groups who are committed to support the six High Impact Areas and would welcome new staff to become part of these.

Our recent CQC inspection was most successful and rated us as a "Good" service.

There is a plethora of training available, which includes a wealth of safeguarding face to face and e-learning via the Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children's Partnership to clinical skills days and conferences.

We recognize that our staff are our most valuable resource therefore we have introduced the career progression scheme.  Health Visitors who are able to supply evidence at interview of 3 years post-registration Health Visiting experience, Continuing Professional Development and evidence which meets the four NMC Professional Framework Domains will enter our service, assimilated to the nearest point of the Grade 10 job description.  This will be in recognition of their level of experience.  For staff entering our service with less than 3 years Health Visiting experience, we offer the pay progression scheme, upon demonstration of 3 years post qualification continuous service as a Health Visitor, allowing staff to progress from Grade 9 to Grade 10 at appraisal with submission of their portfolio of evidence which includes the essential elements above.
