Lincolnshire County Council is seeking applications from exceptional candidates to join its Commercial and Procurement Team. This team leads activity across the Council focusing on large infrastructure procurement and commercial projects which deliver value-for-money and fit-for-purpose contracts.

What we are looking for

You will be commercially minded and able to take personal responsibility for driving organisational changes where there is scope to make a big impact.

Candidates must also be able to demonstrate:

  • a minimum of 2 years' experience in public sector procurement and an advanced knowledge of the Public Contract Regulations 2015;
  • a MCIPS, or equivalent professional qualification, or be working towards;
  • an ability to stay calm under pressure and manage their demanding workload effectively;
  • strong communication skills, with an ability to negotiate and influence; and
  • excellent relationship management skills.

You will be  given a nominated contractual work base and once current restrictions are lifted you will be required to commute to this work base when necessary.
