Senior Commercial Development Officer - Fixed Term (12 Months)
Lincolnshire County Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our Commercial Team as a Senior Commercial Development Officer on a fixed term or secondment basis. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and ambitious individual with strong Project Management and Performance Management skills.
About the Team
The Commercial Team - People Services is responsible for the procurement of 600 Adult Care and Community Wellbeing contracts and the Contract Management of 1,000 individual delivery settings. The combined annual spend of this activity is over £200 million p.a. and the programme includes a very diverse range of individual Procurement, Contract Management and Market Development projects.
The Team is accountable for ensuring contracts are commissioned, procured, and managed in a way that ensures value for money at the same time as ensuring a quality, safe and effective service is delivered to the residents of Lincolnshire.
About the Role
This role sits within the Commercial Development Team which supports the wider Commercial Team – People Services. The Commercial Development Team has a wide area of responsibility which includes the provision of intelligence and reporting, the review and development of internal business processes, and project management of the most complex and high profile procurements.
Reporting to the Commercial Development Manager, the successful candidate will play a critical part in project managing high profile procurements and will drive forward improvements in process, reporting and intelligence.
