About the Team

The Commercial Team - People Services is responsible for the procurement of over 600 Adult Care and Community Wellbeing contracts and the Contract Management of 1,000 individual delivery settings.  The combined annual spend of this activity is over £275 million p.a. and includes a very diverse range of individual Procurement, Contract Management and Market Development projects.

 

The Team is accountable for ensuring contracts are commissioned, procured, and managed in a way that ensures value for money at the same time as ensuring a safe, effective and positive service is delivered to the residents of Lincolnshire.

 

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join our team in a role that provides variety, challenge and an opportunity for you to impart your knowledge and expertise to drive positive change to the understanding, management and continuous improvement of services for the people of Lincolnshire.

 

This role sits within the Commercial Development Team which supports the wider Commercial Team – People Services.  The Commercial Development Team has a wide area of responsibility which includes the provision of strategic intelligence and reporting on all contracted provision and team activity, the review and development of contract risk methodology and internal business processes, assurance and project management of the most complex and high profile procurements and contract mobilisations.

 

To be effective in this role you will:

-      Be an experienced Project Manager

-      Have an eye for detail

-      Have strong analytical skills including knowledge of techniques for business data collection and management

-      Be an effective communicator, with strong negotiation skills; and

-      Forward thinking and keen to embed new ways of thinking and working.

 

Reporting to the Commercial Development Manager, the successful candidate will play a critical part in driving the strategic intelligence agenda and project managing high profile procurements.
