The SEND Caseworkers (Level 1) will work within the SEND Team and be line managed by the SEND Caseworkers (Level 2). 

This role will manage, facilitate and co-ordinate the EHC needs assessments, ensure that children and young people (0-25 years old) receive the appropriate services and provision to meet their needs.  We aim to support them in achieving the best possible education, health and care outcomes.  They will also facilitate and co-ordinate the statutory review process of EHC plans.

You will need to have:

  • A NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Health, Education or Social Care subject.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience of working with children/young people in a health, education or social care setting.
  • The ability and aptitude to work in close partnership with children, young people, families, schools and agencies.
  • Extensive working knowledge of relevant SEND legislation. 
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills coupled with drive and initiative.
