School Bursar – Part Time – 1 day per week (term time only).

FTE Pay Range: G6 £23,682.


We are looking to appoint a School Bursar to support and advise the head teacher and governors in the monitoring of all the school budgets and accounts until the end of July 2020.  The role will involve:

  • Ensuring that income/expenditure is correctly recorded and that all budget records are maintained and up to date.
  • Provide detailed analysis and evaluation of data and produce detailed reports/information as required.
  • Develop and adapt the support and administrative procedures within the school to maximise efficiency.
  • To negotiate, manage and monitor contracts, tenders and agreements for the provision of support services.


You will have experience of working in a school and be experienced at financial planning and reporting and ideally be familiar with Business World On. Be able to identify and introduce new admin procedures where appropriate. Have a school management or financial qualification to NVQ 4 level.
