Could you develop, improve, maintain and expand the road safety education service delivered from Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership?  We're looking for a dynamic thinker, communicator and innovator with established skills to lead the education team toward further successes. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, innovative, coordinated and flexible individual to be part of a well-established organisation, leading a team focussing on the crucial task of road safety education. 

You will work under the management of the Road Safety Service Delivery Manager within the Education, Training and Publicity (ETP) arm of the business.  Working cohesively alongside the Training and Publicity team supervisors to achieve collaborative and individual successes, you will further develop established education practices and initiate new ones as well as reviewing and growing education focusses and other associated opportunity. 

You will manage a team of five Road Safety Officers across the County, supporting them in their role, including the day-to-day management of the School Crossing Patrol Service. 

You will deliver a successful and comprehensive road safety education service for the Partnership; ensuring our education ambitions as well as our obligations are met.  You will supervise all aspects of our education provision ensuring standards are up-held to the highest quality and embedding quality assurance and evaluation methods across our suite of education programmes; exploring new horizons both methodologically and through pedagogy.  

Working as part of a team is vital to achieving success, utilising resources where necessary and supporting wider ETP projects where required. 

Your attributes will include;

  • Effective quality communication across all aspects of your work, understanding the requirements from and of your education team linked also to the wider requirements of the ETP team and the Partnership. 
  • Demonstrable understanding of the needs of our students, audiences, customers and service users and deliver the best possible outcomes in-line with LCC's core values and behaviours. 
  • Creative thinking, challenging beliefs and behaviours as well as constructively challenging your team and peers to ensure continuous improvement across the education team. 
  • Relevant experience of delivering and/or developing education to a high standard, excellent presentation skills and excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, have a proven ability as a valued team player and team leader, and hold knowledge of Highway Legislation, relevant design procedures and standards and good practice. 
  • The ability to prioritise your own work and work of others to support the business priorities and manage your own performance, the performance of others and actively seek feedback to make improvements.   

You must be prepared to represent LRSP at relevant training courses, meetings, seminars or conferences. Qualify or expand your portfolio as a road safety professional.  Demonstrate your understanding of road safety in education.
