We are recruiting for a Data Analyst (internally we call it a Performance Support Officer) with good communication skills and an eye for detail to work with the Regional Adoption Agency.  This post requires a high degree of computer competency, in particular advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and a clear understanding of database design. This Data Analyst post would suit a competent IT user with strong numerical and analytical skills. 

The Performance Support Officer is part of the central Regional Adoption Agency Team supporting the collection and validation of data across adoption services four local authorities to facilitate the provision of meaningful information and comparative data.  This is a great opportunity to make the most of your keen skills in problem solving and ability to recognise anomalies, and a chance to express your creativity and innovation through your analysis, making sense of a wide range of child data and telling the important stories behind the figures.

This is a temporary appointment, initially for a two year period.

We are offering a competitive salary of £23,541 - £25,991, along with a pension, a comprehensive benefits package including excellent discount schemes, cycle to work, civil service sports council membership.
