About the role

Business Lincolnshire is one of 41 Government backed Growth Hubs across England. Growth Hubs form a support network for businesses, providing advice, resources, and funding opportunities to help them grow and succeed. It connects businesses with experts, mentors, and services to foster innovation, improve efficiency, and drive economic development in the region.

As Project Officer, you'll take ownership of a personal portfolio of economic regeneration programmes and projects, ranging in value from £50,000 to £1 million, including managing procurement for new contracts.

The project officer plays a key role in ensuring schemes and services are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and performance standards. Your strong contract management and attention to detail will help maintain robust procedures and clear audit trails.

You'll be confident in managing project budget information, providing accurate financial reports to funders to ensure transparency and accountability.

Overall the project Officer will oversee the day-to-day management of the Business Lincolnshire Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, developing insightful reports that support funding feedback and internal decision-making.

About the Team

The Enterprise Team is a fast paced, dynamic and friendly team within the Place directorate. The role of the team is exciting and varied, focussing on delivering a range of business support services, addressing the needs of Lincolnshire's businesses by engaging with partners and suppliers and undertaking commissioning activities that aim to deliver economic growth and jobs.

We deliver our support by working with and influencing a wide range of partner organisations including other LCC teams, district councils, national government organisations, HE/ Providers and the private sector. We undertake activities via our website: www.businesslincolnshire.com and through contracts that we commission with 3rd party suppliers who specialise in business support activities.

Our services are predominantly funded through various sources that we write compelling business cases and funding bids to secure.

About You

You will need to be organised, tenacious and able to work on your own initiative. You will have proven project management skills and possess a strong knowledge of systems for managing and reporting funding and activity data. You will have exceptional attention to detail, be a confident and effective communicator, a team player and be fully computer literate.
