Principal Practitioner Safeguarding (Team around the Adult)

Lincolnshire County Council has an exciting newly created position within our Adult Care division for a Principal Practitioner with specific responsibility for the Team Around the Adult initiative where you will have an opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging role within an innovative and recently commissioned service. 

This, exciting, newly created post builds on current roles and practices within the safeguarding team. On a day-to-day basis, in addition to supporting the safeguarding team, you will be the central point of contact for the 7 District Councils, liaising with a variety of colleagues in the multi-agency network including LSAB partner agencies, and coordinating activities that aim to facilitate the Team Around the Adult (TAA) initiative.

We are looking for self-motivated professionals with experience, knowledge and understanding of practice, policy and legislation with regard to working with Adults with complex needs and Adult Safeguarding.  You'll need to have experience and commitment to multi-agency working and a keen interest in using your problem-solving skills, along with an assertive and inquisitive nature to contribute to the continuous development of the TAA Programme across Lincolnshire. This will include taking a strength based and collaborative approach, and having an understanding about what impacts upon how people make decisions or understand what choices they have.  You will find innovative and creative ways of working, alongside developing preventative approaches to help promote independence and wellbeing. 

You will need excellent leadership, interpersonal and administrative skills and experience in compiling reports and conducting data analysis. You will be a role model and accountable for a wide range of tasks, to include multi-agency safeguarding and Team Around the Adult arrangements and working to tight deadlines, negotiating and escalating to senior level appropriately, working across organisations and with service users.
