We are looking to appoint a Pastoral Lead to join our happy and caring team, to provide support to children who may have social, emotional, or behavioural needs and who require additional help to access education and reach their full potential.

Pastoral Lead - Wyberton Primary Academy 

Pastoral Lead 37.5 per week, (hours 8:00 am-4:00 pm to include Breakfast club cover) per week 39 weeks per year, plus training days based at Wyberton Primary Academy.
Permanent position
Salary scale: G6.15 - G6.18 Actual salary: £25,572 - £27,763 gross actual per annum

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate kindness, compassion and understanding.
  • Be able to build and develop relationships with children and colleagues.
  • Be proactive, positive and a good communicator, with a passion for making a difference to the lives of our children and families.
  • Be able to support children to regulate their emotions so they are able to access their learning in the classroom.
  • Be experienced in working with children in a school setting (including those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs).
  • Be able to use their initiative, creativity, and organisational skills to respond to a range of differing situations across school.
  • Be able to liaise confidently with SENDCo and SLT.
  • Be willing to engage with continual professional development.
  • Be able to liaise with staff, parents, and carers.
  • Be able to deliver bespoke interventions, such as Lego therapy, to groups of children.
  • Have a strong background in safeguarding and associated systems and documentation.
  • Have some experience or knowledge of working with other agencies that support children and their families.
