For us, great work starts with great people. That’s why we want to make the most of your skills. Here, you’ll discover unique development opportunities, such as our Career Progression Panel, which helps you to achieve Level 2 qualification. You’ll also find strong support networks, including our expanded Peri unit, which alleviates stress on our frontline teams. Our Social Work Teams operate across Lincolnshire. Please indicate if you have a preference in terms of work base. We have teams based in Lincoln, Louth, Sleaford, Horncastle, Spalding, Grantham, Boston, North Hykeham and Gainsborough.

If you’re passionate about social care, we can show you new ways to use and develop your expertise.

Reach the next level in your career

Families and the challenges they face are always changing. So, we need to change too. With our training and guidance, we’ll show you how make a positive impact today – and shape the way we work tomorrow. Our aim is to:

  • Transform the lives of children in Lincolnshire, and across the UK
  • Ensure everything we do is guided by what’s best for them
  • Create a new model for how a children’s services department should work.

What you’ll do

Working at the forefront of our children’s services team, you’ll manage a range of complex assessments, covering Child in Need, Child Protection and Looked After Children cases. Using your experience, you’ll lead on these from start to finish, from planning stages through to assessment completion. At the same time, we’ll provide comprehensive induction, training and coaching strategies, allowing you to move forward or between roles.

What we’re looking for

  • A professional, qualified social worker, registered with the HCPC
  • Someone who has completed the ASYE course and is ready to move into a Level 2 role
  • At least two years of being qualified
  • In-depth knowledge of legislative frameworks and legal proceedings that govern children’s services
  • Experience managing people and projects at different levels
  • Exceptional communication skills.
