Learning Support Assistant required to support a number of pupils with additional needs.  Experience of working in a school with SEND pupils would be an advantage.  Knowledge of literacy, numeracy and SEND strategies; also NVQ2 or above, would be an advantage.

William Farr is a popular, rural comprehensive school. In the 2006 OFSTED inspection the school was judged to be outstanding, and our 2009 inspection confirmed this remarkable achievement.  The school gained academy status in 2011 and has approximately 1500 students on roll.

To apply, please complete the Support Staff application form available on the school’s website (www.williamfarr.lincs.sch.uk) and email this to d.foster@williamfarr.lincs.sch.uk

Postal applications should be addressed to Darren Foster (HR Manager) at the school.

In the box on the application form “Further information to support your application”, please include a letter detailing your experience to date and the contribution you will make to the role.

Applicants who have not been contacted by Wednesday 25th September 2019 should assume that their application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.  Feedback will only be provided to candidates who attend for interview.

William Farr School is committed to the safeguarding of children, and all posts within school are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.  Applicants are required to reveal information concerning all convictions, including those which would otherwise be considered as ‘spent’.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced background check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).  References will be taken up prior to interview.

In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
