At Washingborough Academy we value the support and guidance our learning support assistants offer our children and utilize them fully in all aspects of teaching and learning; thus maximising children's opportunities. The post holder will lead and be responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the After School Club, providing stimulating activities and a high standard of care for children between the ages of 3-11 years old in a safe and secure environment. This will include maintaining accurate records/systems, and will include preparing a small snack to our children.
Qualified to Level 3 in either Childcare or Play work, you must also have experience with children in an Ofsted registered environment such as after school or Nursery settings. You must be able to demonstrate an ability to relate to children and their needs and understand the supportive nature of the role. As a team player, you must be pragmatic and flexible in your approach. Communicating effectively with parents is also a key part of the role.
