Contract: Temporary until July 2020 for a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant 

Hours: 25

Salary G3.6 FTE 18,562

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistant to work alongside children in school with an EHCP. This role will primarily be based in Year 2.

The role of a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant is crucial in ensuring that the curriculum is personalised for individual pupils. Our ideal candidate will be confident in adapting activities to allow the children in their care to make good or better progress.

We are looking to appoint someone with:

  • A proven track record of working with children with ASD/ADHD/Global Development Delay
  • A proactive approach to developing children’s learning
  • Excellent communication and team working skills
  • The ability to work flexibly as part of a small team
  • A passion to inspire children to learn and achieve

The candidate ideally will also have:

  • Experience using colourful semantics
  • Experience delivering SALT programs
  • Experience supporting emotional well being
