At Seathorne Primary Academy, we are looking for a 1:1 Learning Assistant to join our team here at Seathorne Primary Academy on a temporary basis. 
The ideal candidate will work 5 days a week, mornings only with some lunchtime support as part of the role.

1:1 Learning Assistant - Seathorne Primary Academy

17.5 hpw term time; term time

Temporary Contract whilst funding is in place. 

About the role: 
We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a enthusiastic and caring Learning Assistant to work with a pupil on a fixed term basis as posts are linked to funding.

The appointed Learning Assistant will be required to work with the pupils on a 1:1 basis or with small groups of children with special educational needs if required. You will be a professional role model to the pupils, with the skills and confidence to challenge and motivate.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • relevant knowledge and experience of working with pupils with special educational needs, including those with autism and learning delay
  • have experience of working with primary aged children
  • be able to nurture positive and caring relationships
  • have high expectations of themselves, always striving for the best
  • the ability to use their initiative and personalise the pupil's learning to meet their academic and well-being needs
  • the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, parents and outside agencies as well as participate in annual reviews, contributing to meetings regarding the pupils learning and progress
  • a working knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
