KS1 teacher (EYFS, 1 and 2) with SENCO responsibilities

Welcome to The Bythams Primary School. We are looking for an inspirational, dedicated, and dynamic full-time teacher to join our happy, ambitious, and nurturing small school. The position is for a small mixed year group class of EYFS, Year 1 and 2 pupils (17 children) from September 2024. This position will also incorporate the SENCO role. This role would be at 0.8 contract/4 days per week. You would be expected to divide your time as 1.5 days as the school SENCO, 2.5 days teaching and PPA time Wednesday to Friday.

Teacher for KS1 (EYFS, Year 1 and 2) and SENCO

Pay: MPS/UPS plus additional TLR

• Has sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum, child development, Development Matters, statutory ELGs, and Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Is an excellent teacher with high expectations, familiar with planning in the moment and curiosity approaches to teaching and learning; willing to go the extra mile
• Is enthusiastic about creating learning opportunities for children in both indoor and outdoor provision
• Has a passion for inclusion; adapting the curriculum and a working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
• Is able to support and engage all children in fully meeting their needs
• Shares our high expectations of attainment, behaviour, and safety for all children
• Has a love of the outdoors and an interest in Forest Schools
• Is committed to their professional development and has a love of learning
• Is a good communicator and able to develop positive relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and governors
• Has the desire to contribute to the wider success of the whole school and undertake leadership of curriculum subject/s over time
