We are looking for someone with a passion for tasty and nutritious food to work as part of our school lunchtime team as a Kitchen Assistant.

We currently serve over 100 hot meals a day to our school community. Our school kitchen is designed to the highest standards and provides an excellent working environment. Full support and training will be given.

Kitchen Assistant (Part Time)
Salary Grade: G3 (approx. £8,983 pro-rata) 
Commencing as soon as possibility pending availability

The position is a permanent part time contract for 16.5 hours a week, Term Time only.
Working Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9am to 2:30pm

You need to:

  • Enjoy cooking
  • Support in creating exciting, healthy menus
  • Have an understanding of the need for thorough and regular cleaning routines
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team
  • Support the smooth running of the dining area over lunchtime
  • Smile


Desirable qualifications:

  • Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or
  • be supervised and trained as appropriate to a level which ensures hygiene standards are met and maintained at all times.

Full training will be offered to the successful candidate
