We have a vacancy for a Preparation for Adulthood Tutor to work part time (18 hours per week) to deliver sessions to young people aged 16 – 24. This will involve 2 days delivery per week with an additional half day of departmental duties.

In this role you will be delivering inspiring and engaging preparation for adulthood sessions where learners can develop the skills required to make the next steps into adulthood and employability. Our key learning and teaching ethos is for learning to be active and teaching to be adaptive

You will be delivering qualifications from Entry 1 to Level 2 as well as our RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement through non accredited learning) based Curriculum.

We value the differences in learner starting points and we are keen for all our learners to make progress.

Our vision is for every learner to realise and achieve their potential.

About You

The successful candidates may hold a teaching qualification and will preferably have experience of working with vulnerable young people who may have challenging behaviour and/or Special Educational Needs.

We will also consider applications from un-qualified tutors who have the desire to train to become a fully qualified tutor. InspireU will support you on your journey, providing an appropriate course, mentoring and coaching, which you will undertake alongside teaching within the classroom.

You will have effective behaviour management skills and be able to travel to other sites when required. You will have a solutions focused mindset with a ‘can do’ attitude.

If you have the experience, skills, knowledge and enthusiasm we are seeking or you are looking for your first teaching role, then we look forward to hearing from you.
