The role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the IMT service as an IMT Project Manager. You will lead on the delivery of a portfolio of technically complex IMT projects and programmes by providing day to day project and programme governance contributing to the management of change within LCC.  

You will work closely with senior technical staff to deliver projects on their behalf, clarifying scope, roles and responsibilities to ensure the successful implementation of enabling technologies to support both corporate and directorate initiatives such as the Transformation Programme.  You will support the Head of Portfolio and Resources in liaising with corporate programmes and will work closely with Serco's project managers, and with LCC project sponsors to ensure that projects and their associated benefits are effectively tracked and governed.

 What we are looking for:

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) you'll also hold the Prince2 Foundation qualification (or equivalent). With proven experience in an operational IMT function you'll also be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of project delivery within a corporate setting;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
  • An ability to design and deliver training;
  • Effective facilitation skills; and
  • Good time management and team working skills.
