HR Officer
William Farr Church of England Comprehensive School is seeking to appoint an HR Officer to join our highly successful school.
At this key time in the school’s development, we require a dedicated and experienced individual to support our school on all aspects of day-to-day HR. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher, the School Business Manager, SLT, and the school’s external HR provider to assist and support the school HR and payroll functions.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and flexible, have excellent IT skills and will be able to communicate effectively with staff and external agencies. Experience of working within an HR and/or educational setting would be desirable, but not essential.
Our role would suit an individual with the ability to contribute to the effective operations of our HR department for the benefit of our staff/students, supporting our school vision through operational delivery by means of their administrative and operational skills and experience. Alternatively, you may be starting on your professional HR career.

The role is:
- Permanent
- Term time plus 2 weeks – 37 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm, Friday 8am to 4pm
- Salary - William Farr Scale 4 or 5, £25,183 to £28,174 depending on the successful candidates’ skills, knowledge and experience. (pro rate being £22,640. - £25,329)

William Farr is a popular, oversubscribed, rural Church of England comprehensive school, near Lincoln. The school gained academy status in 2011 and has approximately 1,450 students on roll. The school was graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted in all categories in October 2022.
