Adult's Services Social Worker Level 2
Boston Pilgrim Hospital
G9: £31,371 - £34,788
Lincolnshire Adult Care is in the business of people. People have challenges in their lives, but they also have success, strengths, aspirations and goals. The role of Adult Care is to understand who the people we work with are, what is important to them, what they aspire to and what they want to change. Our role is to build a relationship with people, understand what they wish to achieve and support them to have the best possible outcomes in their lives.
Our involvements are about making a difference to people's lives by listening, empowering, understanding and working together to help people be active participants in their support.
Like all Local Authorities, we face challenges, but we are really proud that we’ve still continued to provide high quality services to the people of Lincolnshire. We continue to strive for more creative ways of improving services and relationships with other partners, such as the NHS and care providers.
Lincolnshire County Council is committed to the principles of choice, independence and personalisation. The successful candidate will be committed to taking on the challenges and opportunities created by the Care Act to support people to have increased choice and control in the way they organise their social care support. You will support people to develop links within their own community, looking at creative and strengths based solutions and will be committed to supporting effective multi-agency working with partner organisations.
If you have an enquiring mind and are committed to the promotion of wellbeing and safeguarding of adults at risk then this would be a great opportunity for you.
Are you an ambitious, diligent and hardworking individual? Are you interested in working within an organisation that is committed to providing an exceptional and integral service to the communities of Lincolnshire, where you can make a difference? If so, Lincolnshire County Council has the role for you.
The level 2 Social Worker post holder must hold a professional Social Work qualification e.g. DIPSW, CQSW, CETSW, CSS or BA Social Work and ensure that registration with the HCPC/Social Work England is maintained and renewed appropriately. You should have at least 2 years post qualifying practice experience within a Social care role. You should be able to demonstrable commitment to continuous professional development and to work as part of a team, learning from and contributing to the development of others. You will also have the organisational and administrative skills necessary for managing a complex and varied caseload. The post holders will work as part of the 7 day Adult Care rota on-site at Pilgrim Hospital; supported by a Hospital Manager. This equates to approximately 1:4 weekends worked, and these are all scheduled 3 months in advance.
It goes without saying that it is essential that you can show sound knowledge of relevant legislation underpinning statutory Adult Care Practice, Social Work theory and be able to demonstrate values that promote wellbeing, challenge oppression and discriminations and empower people to live well.
We are looking for someone who wants to use these skills and knowledge in a more creative and innovative way. If this sounds like you, then you may be just the person we are looking for and we would love to hear from you.
