Health & Safety Manager
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue (LFR) are looking for a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our risk management team. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent) and your expertise in health and safety which will contribute to protecting the public and ensuring the wellbeing of our workforce.
The Health and Safety Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all staff within the service. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.
You will also investigate accidents and incidents thoroughly, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive health and safety training and education to staff at all levels, fostering a culture of safety and awareness.
You will collaborate with operational colleagues to ensure that risk assessments are suitable and sufficient for activities during training and at incidents. You will also advise and support senior management on health and safety matters, providing expert guidance and recommendations to enhance the overall safety performance of the service.
