Working for a better future

Are you looking for an opportunity to inspire, motivate and develop functional leaders to create an empowering, enterprising, and compassionate learning culture that enables colleagues to perform at their best and deliver positive change in Lincolnshire? If so, this may be the role for you!

Lincolnshire is the UK's 2nd largest county by area and boasts a diverse landscape of sandy beaches, lush woodland, rolling fields, bustling communities and home to a strong mixed economy worth £16bn pa, with key sectors including agrifood, tourism and manufacturing. The council has played a key role in supporting the local economy through delivering an outstanding Children’s Services, one of the highest-achieving highways authorities, good education attainments, and delivering innovative projects while delivering good-value council service. We are a Council that is prepared to be bold and proactive, empowering communities, facilitating development and regeneration, and supporting the most vulnerable. We have high aspirations, and we need the very best people to come and work with us.

An exciting career opportunity has arisen for an experienced leader to lead the development of our Facilities and Workspace Management service and fully implement our Facilities Strategy. Reporting to the Assistant Director - Corporate Property you will be part of the senior leadership team, working collaboratively with council services to develop and implement a programme of Service Asset Management Plans, ensuring our assets meet the needs of communities.

This role calls for a successful team leader with a solid grounding and experience in facilities management. You will support and propagate best practice, with a track record of delivering successful outcomes across a large and diverse portfolio. You will have experience of leading complex estate FM contract mobilisations and ‘steady state’ operations across large and geographically dispersed estates. With a passion for customers, leadership, and property, you will join the department at an exciting time in its transformation programme. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact and deliver tangible benefits that make a real difference to our partners, communities, and staff.

We are seeking individuals with a professionally qualified and accredited (RICS, IWFM or equivalent). You will have a proven track record in delivering transformation utilising the best of your leadership skills to foster trust and collaboration and bring rigour to our programmes as well as drive and energy to ensure change is sustainable.
