We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, well-qualified and inspirational member of staff to be the next Head of our English Department. The successful candidate will be required to lead and manage the teaching of English to A Level by:

  • providing strategic direction for the development of English
  • providing leadership of a large department which secures:
  • high quality teaching
  • effective student learning
  • the highest possible standards of achievement for all students
  • effective use of resources
  • the on-going professional development of staff
  • effective self-evaluation

The King’s School is a popular, oversubscribed, all boys grammar school. The most recent OFSTED inspection judged the school to be outstanding, there are approximately 1200 students on roll.
