We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, well-qualified and inspirational member of staff to be the next Head of our English Department. The successful candidate will be required to lead and manage the teaching of English to A Level by:
- providing strategic direction for the development of English
- providing leadership of a large department which secures:
- high quality teaching
- effective student learning
- the highest possible standards of achievement for all students
- effective use of resources
- the on-going professional development of staff
- effective self-evaluation
The King’s School is a popular, oversubscribed, all boys grammar school. The most recent OFSTED inspection judged the school to be outstanding, there are approximately 1200 students on roll.
