The Gainsborough Academy is an inclusive and aspirational Academy based in the Lincolnshire town of Gainsborough, easily accessible from the M18, M180 and A1 motorway networks. 

We occupy a state of the art building with extensive grounds, learning and recreational facilities which are designed to inspire pupils and staff alike.

At the Gainsborough Academy we are passionate about education and have a belief that all students regardless of their ability and background deserve choice and opportunity.  We are working with Wickerlsey Partnership Trust, an outstanding Trust based in Rotherham.

We are seeking to appoint a Food Technology Technician to join our Technology Department to support teachers and students with the cookery provision.

Responsibilities will include:

•  Ordering food supplies and preparing for lessons,

•  Working alongside the teachers to assist students during lessons and after school clubs

•  Ensuring that Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times.

Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.  You must be approachable, able to quickly build and establish relationships and have excellent interpersonal skills. 

Motivation and an enthusiasm to make a positive difference to our students, the Academy and the wider community are important personal qualities that we are looking for in potential candidates.  You should have detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant safeguarding, welfare and medical legislation / regulations.
