We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Financial Accountant (internally known as Finance Manager) who would like to join our team.
Lincolnshire County Council has a track record of efficient and effective financial management with the Council continuing to report a healthy financial position delivering services within our financial envelope. Become a key member of our team, delivering for Lincolnshire and support the Council to continue to take the necessary decisions to promote financial sustainability for Lincolnshire services.
You will be joining our team as we roll out our new workforce strategy, a strategy which puts our people at the heart of our service. The Role
Working with colleagues, you will draw on your technical expertise and experience to constructively challenge actual and forecast financial performance to inform decision making and contribute to the delivery of efficient, effective services within the financial resource available.
This role supports the closure of the Council’s accounts and the preparation of the Statement of Accounts. You will ensure these are prepared in accordance with the Accounts and Audit Regulations and relevant codes of practice.
Working in collaboration with others, the role will be expected to monitor, analyse the impact of, and implement new legislation, regulation, and accounting standards.
You will be empowered to influence strategy, collaborate on policy goals, offering expert analysis and interpretation, presenting options to resolve problems and exploit opportunities.
You will be responsible for the operational management of your team, motivating people and promoting continuous personal and professional development ensuring sufficient skills and experience to ensure delivery is aligned with the Councils strategy.

Location
The team work on a hybrid basis, with, on average, two days of the week spent connecting in the office and three days of the week home based. This role would be expected to work within these arrangements.
