The governors, staff and pupils of the Spires Federation are seeking to appoint a passionate and ambitious leader who will build on the existing strengths and success of the schools in order to further enhance the collaborative partnership across our federation.

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational Executive Headteacher who will embrace the challenge of leading three village schools. 

Our core values, shared by our two church schools and one community school, create a culture that supports both staff and pupils to flourish and meet their full potential.

The governing body will appoint a successful leader who:

  • Has a proven track record of ensuring high quality educational outcomes through strategic leadership;

  • Creates an ethos in which children grow emotionally, socially and academically;

  • Will embrace and develop the Christian ethos of the church schools; 

  • Uses their innovative and enthusiastic leadership qualities to support strong teamwork and collaboration across the Federation ensuring our committed staff continue to develop;

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is able to use these to engage and motivate staff, parents, children and the wider community; 

  • Is well organised and eager to work with other school leaders towards school improvement;

  • Has the ability and drive to raise standards for all through a diverse and rich curriculum.

We have pre-arranged dates to visit all 3 schools in line with COVID guidelines on:

Tuesday 25 May, Tuesday 8 June and Tuesday 15 June.

Visits will be after school starting at Digby at 3:00 pm, Dunston at 3.45 pm and Nocton at 4.30 pm.

Shortlisted candidates will need to be available for both days.
