We would like to employ an Education Welfare Officer (EWO), with additional administrative duties, to work term time plus Inset days, Monday to Friday in our main school office, 24 hours per week.
These hours will be made up of 3 hours EWO in the mornings where you will be required to monitor attendance, contact families and undertake home visits (accompanied). 9 hours to support the admin team in the school, these hours can
be made up in the afternoons over the week.
Our school has a busy office, and no day is the same! We are looking for someone who is flexible, able to work (and remain calm) under pressure, meet deadlines, work as part of a team and be able to use their own initiative to resolve queries. A good working knowledge of Scholarpack would be desirable, experience of attendance procedures in a school, and good all-round administration skills (all aspects of Microsoft Word). The role requires enormous flexibility, tact and problem solving on a daily basis. It is essential that the applicants are professional, approachable and very effective communicators.
