Departmental Admin Assistant
We are seeking to appoint a Departmental Admin Assistant to provide supervision of our pupils and their work during periods of short term teacher absence. The role will also involve supporting with administrative duties within your department.
32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Grade 5 (NJC 10 to NJC 15) – starting at £19,275 per annum (£25,545)
Start date: ASAP
The successful candidate will take sole charge of groups of children to deliver lessons as set by the teacher, ensure that students are on task and complete the work set. An ability to manage the behaviour in the classroom to ensure a constructive learning environment is a must and training in this area will be provided. The post-holder will work closely with teaching staff within their department. We are looking for applications from adaptable, organised individuals with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
The hours for this vacancy are 32.5 per week/39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 inset/additional days), and are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm.
