About the role 

As the Cultural Services Advisor you will be responsible for the delivery of front line services assisting with access to a wide variety of collections  including books, periodicals, and DVD loans, public computers/internet access and reference collections at Grantham Library. You will assist visitors to the library in their use of the services on offer and the wide variety of resources library catalogue, public computers, local history archives along with ensuring the building is a welcoming and attractive place to visit. 

The position is on a 6 month fixed term basis and is 29.5 hours a week (see attached example rota). We are offering a salary of £19,171 – £20,344 along with pension and a comprehensive benefits package.

We are a team of seven who have a passion for libraries and the local community, we help people do everything from discovering new authors to tracking their ancestry from our records and even helping them find their ideal job using our IT systems.

About you 

As the Cultural Services Advisor you will develop your experience in a customer service role, consistently demonstrating a keen and genuine interest in working with the public. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate effective communication skills as the role involves resolving customer queries and working as part of a larger team. We are looking for a candidate who is confident in the planning and delivery of public events and activities.
